Self-care

Developing independent self-care skills are an essential part of becoming an independent adult, but for many children and families this can present great difficulty. Occupational Therapists can assess and provide interventions to help children develop age appropriate self-care skills in areas such as:

·      Toileting

·      Dressing

·      Personal hygiene

·      Using cutlery

·      Bathing

·      Sleeping

·      Tying shoelaces
